Privacy Policy

The short version: this website does not collect, store, or share your personal information. There are no cookies, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking scripts, and no contact forms on donheirman.com.

What information does this site collect?

None, by design. This is a static, read-only archive and educational resource. It does not use cookies or similar technologies, does not run analytics or advertising code, does not fingerprint visitors, and does not ask you to create an account or submit any form.

What about server logs?

Like virtually every website, the hosting infrastructure that serves these pages may keep standard technical logs (IP address, requested URL, browser type, timestamp) for security and operational purposes. These logs are generated by the hosting provider, are not used to identify or profile visitors, and are not combined with any other data by this site.

What happens if I email you?

Emailing contact@donheirman.com is entirely voluntary. Your message and address are used only to respond to your inquiry and are not added to any mailing list, shared, or sold.

Embedded video

The biography page includes a video embed. The player loads from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com) and only after you click play. Until you click, no request is made to YouTube. If you do click play, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies to that playback.

Pages such as the industry links directory point to external sites (IEEE, ANSI, IEC, FCC and others). This policy covers only donheirman.com; external sites have their own privacy practices.

Children’s privacy

This site is an educational resource about engineering standards and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13 (COPPA).

Changes to this policy

If the site ever adds functionality that touches personal data (for example, analytics or a newsletter), this policy will be updated first and the “last updated” date above will change.
